The Village Grocery Shop (Hebrew: Makolet) is located at the centre of the village

 Open daily: 8:00 -14:00, 16:00 -19:00,

Friday and holiday eves 8:00-17:00

Tuesdays: closed in the afternoon.

Please note: the grocery shop is always closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays.

If you plan to arrive late, we recommend that you call to make sure it is still open. Occasionally there is a change in opening hours.

The Village Bakery & Whole Food Shop, "House 77",

is located at the centre of the village.

On Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: open 8:30-19:00.

On Thursdays: open from 8:30-21:00, and from 17:00 you can order home made pizza.         

During the month of August only: open all day, 7 days a week.

The Village Post Office

Mobile post arrives at Amirim every afternoon except Friday, Shabbat and holiday eves.

Other P.O. branches are a few minutes’ drive away at Meron and at Rame (a nearby Arab village). At Rame it is open on Shabbat and Jewish holidays.

Pharmacy

The nearest pharmacy is located at the entrance to "Or-Haganuz", a village

approx. 15 minutes drive from Amirim.

Larger pharmacies are located in the nearby towns of Safed (Tzfat) and Karmiel (each approx. 25 minutes drive away).

General Hospital

"Ziv" Hospital, the largest in the North, is located at the southern entrance to the town of Safed, only a 20-minute drive from Amirim.

Amirim Swimming Pool

An open-air swimming pool is available in the village during the summer months. It is very popular with guests, for whom there is no entry fee. However, please note: entry is not free of charge for people who are not staying at one of the many types of tourist accommodation available in the village. 

After the Fast of 9^th Av, the pool has separate swimming hours for men and women.

There is also a separate pool for toddlers.

Opening hours in the summer:

8:00am-9:30 am        Men only

9:30am-11:00am       Women only.

11:00am-17:00pm     Open to both men & women.

Nights: the swimming pool is also open at night on special occasions.

Synagogue:

The village has a synagogue, which is active all year round on Fridays, Saturdays and Jewish holidays, and daily during the summer months after the Fast of 9th Av.

On Fridays, at 18:00pm before the service, a communal "Kabbalat Shabbat" reception is held. The reception includes Jewish and Israeli songs and lighting the Shabbat candles with the children.

Afterwards, at 19:15, the normal Friday night service starts.

On Saturday mornings, the service starts at 8:30 am.
