The Vegetarian-Vegan village of Amirim was the first village to raise the flag and institute a purely vegetarian-vegan community.
Here is the place to explain the differences between vegetarian and vegan:
- A vegetarian will refrain from eating meat, chicken and fish but will eat eggs and dairy products.
- A vegan will not eat meat, chicken or fish as well as refraining from eggs and dairy products.
The restaurants and cafes in Amirim serve vegan and vegetarian cuisine.
The breakfasts that our guests are served are also either vegetarian or vegan.
The food grown in Amirim is organic – the community decided many years ago not to use chemical sprays on food grown on its land.
